Homicide Investigation   - 12/02/2007 6:00am

The Sheriff’s Office is asking for your help in the investigation of the death of Luis Villanueva that occurred on December 20, 2007. The shooting occurred at the Parkway Villa Apartments during the evening. The persons of interest are 3 black males wearing dark clothing, short in height and average in weight. El ministerial de Sheriff pedimos su ayuda en la muerte de Luis Villanueva que paso Diciembre 20, 2007. Los disparos pasaron en los apartamentos de Parkway Villa en el mediodía, como a las 7 :00 PM. Los personas que buscan son 3 hombres negros vestidos en ropa oscuridad y bajo en altura y peso medio. Por favor llama Crimen Impedir (Crimestoppers) con cualquier información que tengan. Body found in Dixiana / Bradford area   - 12/02/2005 10:00pm
The womans body found on December 4,2005 in the Dixiana / Bradford area has been identified by investigators as Trina Dickerson Robertson. It appears that Ms. Robertson may have been killed at another location, and the body moved after her death. Anyone with information about her death or the moving of the body please call the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office. Detective Sgt. Rod Robinson or Detective Sgt. Felicia Rucker at 205-731-2815. Crimestoppers is offering a $1,000.00 reward for information leading to an arrest in this case. Hit and Run - Victim, Eugene Turner   - 12/31/1969 5:59pm

On October 19, 2004, Eugene Turner was struck by a vehicle in the 1600 block of US Highway 78.  The victim was dead on the scene.  The Sheriff's Office is looking for a light green SUV with possible front end damage in connection with this accident.

HOMICIDE   - 12/31/1969 5:59pm

Earl Douglas Pinson was found  murdered inside of his residence, located at 309 4th Ave. S.W. Bessemer, AL on May 1, 2001.  There is a $5,000.00 reward for information leading to the arrest and conviction of person or persons involved.

HOMICIDE   - 12/31/1969 5:59pm

 On the morning of 05-18-2000 the Sheriff's Office received a call to a carwash at 3606 Old Jasper Hwy. When deputies arrived they found a van parked there that was on fire. After fire was extinguished the bodies of Darryl Pettaway and Chenita Knox were found inside the van. It appears that they were killed at another location and the van driven to the car wash and set on fire to destroy evidence.

Death Investigation   - 12/31/1969 5:59pm

On February 17, 2006, at about eight p.m., David Eugene Oliver, of Robinwood , went to visit some neighbors.  When he left his neighbors', Mr. Oliver said that he was going home, which was just a short distance away.  Several hours later Mr. Oliver was discovered laying in his kitchen floor unconscious, and unresponsive.  On February 18, 2006 Mr. Oliver underwent emergency surgery for sever head injuries.  Mr. Oliver died from his injuries on February 25, 2006.  A white male, about forty-five years old, with graying hair, was reported to have been seen leaving Mr. Oliver's residence at about one a.m.  This person remains unidentified, and may have important information concerning Mr. Oliver's whereabouts that night, and how he might have received his injuries.  Anyone with information that may help to identify this possible intruder, or provide any other information concerning this incident is urged to contact  the Jefferson County Sheriff's Office at  (205)325-1450. 

Homicide Investigation   - 12/31/1969 5:59pm

On Septemeber 24, 2007 James W. Hutchins was found shot to death and laying on the side of

Tower Drive
in the Sandusky, Docena area. Hutchins was found just a few feet from his vehicle which was also left at the scene. Hutchins was last seen in the Edgewater Community on September 23, 2007. The possible motive in this homicide appears to be robbery. If you know of anyone that may have had contact with Hutchins after 10:00pm on September 23, 2007 or if you have any information regarding this homicide please contact Sgt.
